Rooted Stillness: A Weekend of Taichi & Mindfulness

    International Taijiquan Day Retreat

Rooted Stillness: A Weekend of Taichi & Mindfulness
    📍 Bradford Woods, Martinsville, IN
    📅 March 20–22, 2026 (Friday 4PM – Sunday 4PM)
    👥 Limited to 35 participants

Celebrate the First UNESCO-Recognized International Taijiquan Day

On November 5, 2025, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially declared March 21 as International Taijiquan Day, honoring Taijiquan (Taichi) as a practice of balance, harmony, and peace.

This decision, initiated by China and unanimously supported by all member states, affirms Taichi’s significance as a living cultural treasure. Practiced across generations and continents, Taichi is recognized not only as a form of mindful movement, but also as a path to intercultural understanding, social inclusion, and human well-being.

March 21, the Spring Equinox, was chosen to reflect Taichi’s essence: the equilibrium of yin and yang, stillness and motion, humanity and nature.
