Who We Are

Our Mission

Mindful Taichi Co. is dedicated to cultivating self-directed health and inner harmony through the integration of traditional Taichi and mindfulness practice. We empower individuals and communities with accessible, culturally rooted tools for holistic well-being—grounded in awareness, embodied presence, and interconnection.

Our Values

  1. Mindfulness as Embodied Awareness
We uphold mindfulness not merely as mental focus, but as a living awareness rooted in the body—echoing the essence of Peng Jin (掤劲) in Taichi. This embodied mindfulness supports clarity, stability, and resilience in everyday life.

2. Cultural Integrity & Heritage
We honor and preserve Taichi as an intangible cultural heritage. We believe that cultural depth enriches modern well-being practices and offers wisdom for collective healing.

3. Self-Directed Health
True well-being comes from within. We support individuals in reconnecting with their own natural capacities for health through experiential learning and embodied practice.

4. Accessibility & Inclusion
Our programs are designed to welcome people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. We believe that mindfulness and Taichi are universal practices that can serve diverse communities.

5. Community & Compassion
We cultivate spaces of connection, mutual respect, and shared growth—believing that individual transformation ripples out into community well-being and global harmony.

Our Vision

We envision a community where individuals are empowered to cultivate inner balance, embodied awareness, and self-healing—through the timeless wisdom of Taichi and the transformative practice of mindfulness. By integrating cultural heritage with accessible wellness education, we strive to nurture a mindful, compassionate, and resilient network of practitioners and neighbors committed to personal and collective well-being.

I have learned Tai Chi and Qigong from Dr. Ying Wang over the past few months through Zoom. I have felt calmer and more energetic. Dr. Wang is a dedicated, devoted, loving, kind, and knowledgeable teacher.

Coach, hello! This morning I followed your verbal cues—your guidance is wonderful. Thank you for putting so much care into the explanation.

Since my older sister arrived a few months ago, we’ve been doing the Chen-style stretching routine we learned from you last year every morning. Having these cues makes it even better. Heartfelt thanks.

I am simply happy and excited for you. You help me in a lot of different ways also. So thank you. Both Julie and myself  always get a feeling of joy when see Ying in the park doing taiji by the water. A serious fellow taiji practitioner, a gentle caring soul, doing serious work. You can do it! Enjoy your day.

Last year’s study with you was truly rewarding. Now I practice Baduanjin (Eight Brocades) about 3–4 times a week, and I really enjoy it.
